The Woodshop of Recycled Delights is a community workshop harnessing the power of waste
The Woodshop of Recycled Delights (WoRD) CIC is a community woodworking initiative hosted in a garden in Hackney, London. We take timber waste and turn it into good things, by running accessible workshops that teach beginner-friendly DIY, and hosting volunteer action days to bring people together, grow our skills, and build communally.

Planter Factory in Action
City Bridge Foundation funded us to make 51 garden planters for community growing projects by June 2026 - so we sprang into action!
Would you like a planter for your community space?
Our Woodshop
We built our covered woodshop with our own hands, from ingeniously reclaimed materials... and learnt a lot along the way!
Our community of volunteers created this fantastic structure over 4 weeks, with support from some amazing donors who helped make it happen.
TRANSFORMING WASTE FOR GOOD
Since 2022, we've been addressing the pressing issue of wood waste while harnessing its potential.
